Entry Point

26 June 2010 - Blog

After spending a lot of time reading other people's blogs, I decided to start writing my own. It's unlikely to be a very frequent blog due to time restrictions, however I'll try and keep it frequent-ish! I enjoy writing and talking about coding and software, so thought it would be interesting to start my own blog.

A bit of background about myself is probably required before I continue! I'm a software developer currently working for a games company. I've been working in the games industry for 8 years, mostly doing engine and toolchains. I also freelance part-time doing both web and desktop development. In total, I've been developing commercially for about 12 years. My commonly used languages are C++, C#, and PHP. With a bit of Perl thrown in for fun! ;-)

This blog will be a mix of various programming and general technology topics. Or even just posts about a great piece of software I've just found. It may also have the odd completely unrelated post too!

I'll try and keep the posts ontopic, as I find too many blogs are so bloated with abstract unrelated nonsense that I frequently unsubscribe to blogs that would otherwise be interesting. I just don't have the time to filter out all the fluff in some blog posts!!

Anyway, hope you enjoy my blog!
